The Witchwillow Tree

Yarrow is a young refugee from a world where sorcerers seek to ban all wizardry but their own. She travels through a strange portal called The Witchwillow Tree to a forest in New England filled with enchantments all its own. She falls in love with a seemingly ordinary boy named Jack, but they are pursued and forced to return to the dark magical realm from which she fled. Together, Yarrow and Jack will undertake a savage quest for survival aided by strange allies that include a mysterious hunter, a goblin warrior hungry for revenge, and a former wizard who may be part dragon.
